Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation | The Livestock Agribusiness Profiling (LAP) project
The Livestock Agribusiness Profiling (LAP) is a project funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation which seeks to raise the profile of livestock agribusinesses in ten African countries including Nigeria.
The Gates foundation’s investment in agriculture supports sustainable, inclusive agricultural transformation that drives rural sector economic growth and delivers broad and accelerated impact favoring the poor, especially women. We believe the development of the agriculture sector in Nigeria offers a unique pathway to improve the income and nutrition of smallholder farmers.
We were the Lead Project Consultant in Nigeria. We supported data collection for the continent-wide post-COVID-19 Impact Report and facilitated the profiling of 70 organisations in the livestock value chain.
Our work will contribute to the development of an online business directory of selected livestock agribusinesses in Africa, as well as connect shortlisted businesses with potential investors.
