Bridging the Gap between classroom learning and work environment – Total Job Shadow, 2015
On November 15, 2015, the Kasher team with Total Nigeria Limited Volunteers engaged 30 students from Amuwo Odofin Senior High School, Imoye Secondary School and Dr. Lucas Memorial High School.
The project was designed to increase career awareness among senior secondary school students, help model students’ behaviour through mentorship, and re-enforce in the students the link between classroom learning and the workplace. The students were paired with staff of Total’s Blending Plant, Kirikiri, Apapa and worked with them for a full day. Apart from the exposure to a real work environment, the students were able to ask questions that will guide them in their career choices.
