To celebrate World Malaria Day 2014, in partnership with Lagos State Malaria Elimination Programme (SMEP), Sahara Group’s employees hung long lasting treated mosquito nets in 150 households, a total of 300 nets were distributed in different households and a health clinic. A road show led by SMEP, created awareness in 4 surrounding communities. A 3 months post project visit, showed that 90% of households still slept inside a net and malaria prevalence had reduced significantly.
