Ijora Day of Care
On April 30, Sahara Foundation with a team of employees cleaned up Ijora community with a focus to improve the health and environment of the community residents.
The project also collaborated with the Lagos Waste Management Agency (LAWMA) which provided a social mobilization campaign via a road show, giving information on the importance of sanitation. In addition to cleaning the streets in the community, the exercise also included the clean-up of blocked drainages and gutters to prevent flooding. At the end of the project, Sahara Foundation donated sanitation tools such as rakes, rubber hand gloves, rubber boots, packers and brooms to the community.
