Malaria Free Nigeria Campaign running for 2 year

In April 2014, Malaria No More in partnership with ExxonMobil and the Federal Ministry of Health launched its innovative NightWatch campaign as part of its ‘Malaria Free Nigeria: Play Your Part’ Campaign, which involved the use of celebrities to disseminate anti-malarial messages to help eradicate malaria in Nigeria.

Malaria No More launched the Malaria Free Nigeria Campaign in April 2014, supporting the National Malaria Elimination Programme’s efforts to raise awareness on the disease across the country. Malaria No More ensured life-saving messages were broadcast to encourage positive behavior to prevent and treat malaria. Looking to sustain its communications, Malaria No More continued its traditional media communications while expanding its mobile and digital presence.

Malaria No More worked with its mobile partner, Etisalat Nigeria to provide educative SMS messaging, while also moving from reach of digital media to active engagement. In April 2015, Malaria No More awarded the first ever Malaria Reporting Award, increasing the profile of malaria reporting in Nigeria and providing incentives to media personnel to actively and accurately report about the disease.

Furthermore, Alere committed to donating 800,000 free RDTs to the Nigeria programme in 2015. Malaria No More worked with Alere and local partners to ensure last-line delivery.
