WASH | Promoting Hygiene Practices in Ibafon Primary School
According to the latest estimate of the WHO/UNICEF Joint Monitoring Programme for Water Supply and Sanitation (JMP), 32% of the world’s population 2.4 billion people lack improved sanitation facilities, and 663 million people still use unimproved drinking water sources in 2015.
To support the efforts to improve access to proper sanitation facilities, Sahara Foundation with support from Kasher installed sanitation facilities such as; water supply and hand washing bays, and instituted a health club that promote sanitation and hygiene education. The project currently serves over 300 students.
