The project included infrastructure development, IT services, recruitment and staffing, launch, project design and implementation. The centre supports survivors of sexual assault, rape and sexual violence. It also creates awareness among young students through the WARIF Educational School Programme (WESP). This programme was designed to initiate discourse, educate and counsel secondary school boys and girls about sexuality, sexual violence, sexual abuse and rape. We also developed and secured funding for WARIF to implement an awareness campaign working with 500 traditional birth attendants (TBAs) in low-income communities in 3 local government areas in Lagos State.
